Party Packs fancy dress review

My family love a fancy dress party and over the years we have had many. They range from Pirate theme to 60s to Great British and now this year it was 1930s-1940s. This theme was for my Grandma who’s was 80 and the party was on her birthday.

My uncle and Aunty arrange the party and food and we all gather there for the fun. There is no expense spared and everyone goes all out and makes a big effort. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our family to all get together and have a good catch up and a good laugh.

This year I am very grateful to Party Packs for providing the outfit for the other half. He had the outfit of a WW2 airforce captain, and he really did look the part.

The outfit includes the Trousers, Jacket, shirt and tie, belt and the hat. He told me his measurements so I was able to select the correct size. The sizing is very easy to look at and decided which is best for you. You just need to know you chest, waist and inside leg and away you order.

The trousers have an elastic waist which is very stretchy. The other half decided to go for large so if you are on the smaller side of large the trousers fit well, if you are on the larger side of the large they stretch well to give you a really comfy fit. Below is the size guide from the website.

Inch cm Inch cm Inch cm
  Chest 38-40 97-102 42-44 107-112 46-48 117-122
  Waist 32-34 81-86 36-38 91-97 40-42 102-107
  Inside Leg 32¾ 83 33 84 33¼ 84

The other half wore the outfit for the best part of 7 hours and said it was really comfy to sit around in and walk about it.

The outfit retails at £31.14 and we both feel this is a great price for what you get. The detail on the outfit is really well finished and the overall effect is really good and really well finished.

Delivery is free on all orders over £25 and as long as all items are in stock Party Packs aims to post the next working day. The outfit we reviewed was delivered very quick and packaged really well on arrival.

Party Packs has a massive range of different fancy dress costumes and decorations and accessories. Why not take a look if you have an event coming up. I would highly recommend them and will certainly be ordering an outfit for our next party which will be next summer.

I love how you pick iconic eras as your theme for birthday parties I think that is highly original. Perhaps next time you should choose the 50’s or 70’s as they would be fun eras to recreate.
