Our Favourite Christmas TV shows and Films

What is Christmas without those favourite Tv shows and films that you all sit down to watch. For me there is one film that I look forward to watching all year round (Will share shortly) There are so many Tv shows too that come on at Christmas that we as a family love to watch. What is better than sitting down, watching Christmas TV and Films on your Panasonic TV, heating on and possibly snow outside. We have recently bought The Santa Clause on DVD from Amazon and Little Man loves it. So here we go with Our Favourite Christmas TV shows and Films.

A few of our favourite films are…

The Santa Clause Screen Shot 2015-12-15 at 22.09.58are great film that first came out back in 1994. This is a funny film and is something I would watch with the family.

Miracle on 34th Street

I remember going to see this at the cinema as a child. This is a Christmas Classic that I think most people will have seen or at least heard of.

Jingle all the Way

First came out back in 1996 starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. About a Dad who promises his son the best toy of the season, however he soon finds it is sold out every where.

The Polar Express

This is a favourite for Little Man, he does have it on DVD and watches it all year around.

My all time favourite Christmas film…Home Alone 1 and 2 (ONLY)

I LOVE Home Alone and could watch it all year round. However I don’t want to spoilt that exciting feeling of watching it at Christmas only. It has to be Home Alone 1 or 2 though. The ones with Mccully Culkin are by far the best.

A few of our favourite Christmas TV shows…

Some of these may not be specifically Christmas shows, however they are TV shows we usually watch at least once over Christmas and then no other time of the year.

Only Fools and Horses

We absolutely love sitting down to watch any episode on a Christmas evening, kids in bed, glass of wine and having a really good laugh.

The Office Christmas Special

How funny is The Office. We absolutely love it and the Christmas Special is usually on at Christmas. So funny and such a good laugh to watch. Do you have a favourite episode?

Eastenders (this is me mainly)

Im sorry, Yes I do have to watch Eastenders even on Christmas day. Surely there are others out there with me right?

We love to sit down as a family and watch any of the above. Do you have any Christmas traditions?

I’ve got Home Alone ready to record because I reckon N would love it. Santa Claus the movie is a good one too.

Otherwise I’ll be watching the Strictly Final, and maybe some other Christmas specials. I’ll have to try and ensure the OH doesn’t channel flick through bog standard shows on non-Christmassy channels

I LOVE The Polar Express, I have to watch it every year!! x

  3. We tried to get the three year old to watch home alone. He deemed it scary about 5 minutes in so we have had to watch it alone!!

I don’t feel I’ve watched that many Christmas films over the years. I bought Polar Express for my son the other year and he wasn’t that keen. Going to try Home Alone this year I think.

    • Little Man watches Polar Express al year around he he on the DVD player he loves it. I do try to stop him watching christmas films all year around though or they lose the magical feeling don’t they.

  5. Miracle on 34th street is one of my favourite films ever – I think it will probably make it into Monkey’s Christmas eve box this year. xx

  6. I watched Home Alone the other night, it’s always my first one to watch of the Christmas season. I love Miracle On 34th Street too! My favourites are Santa Claus The Movie and Elf though!! Great choices!
