Doug has been off work for a couple of weeks and we always like to get out and about and make sure we go on lots of days out for the kids. On the list this year was Sundown Adventure Land. It is an under 10s mini theme park. Well I say theme park, there are a few rides and then lots of other play areas such as , Angry birds area, sandy area, Pirates Adventure, Crash landings (soft play) and much more. We had a fantastic day and both kids loved it.
We arrived around 1130 and it was busy in the car park, in fact we had to park in the overspill car park. The park itself was busy but didn’t seem to feel crowded. We started on the barrel boat ride and ended up getting wet, lucky it was a nice day and we wasn’t too cold. The ride was suitable for both Little Man and Bubs to go and they both loved it. Little
Little Man was keen to go to the Angry Birds Play area which looks to be quite new and it was great. He loved climbing, sliding, swinging and jumping. This area was aimed at the older children, well when I say older I mean 4 + there is a lot of opportunity for climbing really high which wouldn’t be safe for the smaller children.
We then headed over to the Tractor ride and the Robin hood ride both of which are small (well big enough for me and Doug to fit in) rides that go around a track. The sort of the rides the little ones love. Little Man loved spotting things as he was driving (pretending) the tractor around the track.
We all love the small little houses they had filled with adventures inside. The Wild West area was fantastic and is so much fun for the kids. Little Man loved having a shoot out in the shop and going into the bank robbery. Every where you go is very interactive which is great as kids love pressing buttons and pulling things and generally being interactive. There is so much to keep their attention. At the end of the wild west street is a train ride. Bubs has no idea he even went on this as he fell asleep and didn’t wake up, we got off the train and put him back in his buggy and not once did he wake up.
All in all we had a fantastic day. Yes some parts of the park may need some slight attention however this park isn’t trying to be Chessington or Alton Towers etc It is a great family day out and I would highly recommend it. We paid £40 for all 4 of us and there is plenty to keep you occupied all day
