Orchard Toys review and Giveaway

IMG_4824 Orchard toys is one of our favourite brands and we have many of the wonderful games. Little Man absolutely loves playing all of them. We have been lucky enough to review Robot Run and even have a giveaway for you to win your own copy of Robot Run. Whenever a parcel arrives at the door Little Man always says is it for me, so when he saw it was an Orchard toys game he went crazy. We were just on our way out the door and so he had to wait until we got back home to play it. Think it must have been the longest 2 hours ever for him. Robot run is a very simple to play, with no setting up card game. The game is aimed at children aged 3+ and for 2-4 players. Whats in the box…? 40 Robot cards Instructions   IMG_4822 How to Play… Each player is dealt 5 cards, the rest of the cards are then placed in the middle and the top card is turned over face upwards. Each player then takes it in turns to either match the same robot OR match a different robot but the same colour as the on turned over. Then next player then does the same and so on. If you are unable to match either the same robot or the same colour you must pick up a card from the pack. there is one card with a paint brush on it. If you are lucky enough to get this card it can be used on top of anything, it’s a bit like a free go.     IMG_4819   IMG_4820   IMG_4821 Winner… The winner is the first player to lay down off of their cards. The other players can carry on playing to see who comes 2nd or 3rd or 4th. The game promotes turn taking, colour recognition and recognising same shapes (the same robots in this case) IMG_4818 Little Man who is 4 found the game easy to play and he got really excited by it. I think we ended up playing it about 10 times in a row, then Doug got in from work and ended up playing too. Robot run is priced at £7.50 and I would 100% buy this game at this price. The quality as always is fantastic and I know it will last. If you would like to win your very own copy of Robot Run, all you have to do is enter the Rafflecopter below.

We’ve got about 4 or 5 of the Orchard Games but N’s not really keen on playing games. He gets too distracted. Although today he got out UNO and beat me 3 times at it, then we played snap. It’s the longest his attention’s ever stayed on games before!
