Monday 3rd June 2013. My weight loss so far.

About 3 weeks ago I decided that I want to lose around 1. 5 stones. My size 12 jeans start to get tight and I wasn’t happy. I had no idea what diet I was going to do. I was at work and was speaking to a friend who is doing the 5/2 diet. Basically you eat normally for 5 days and eat 500 calories for 2 days of the week. I decided I was going to do this until one of the guys I work with told me not to as it wasn’t healthy and I would be starving. He advised me to get an app on my phone called My Fitness Pal. You put in your age, weight, target weight goal and how much you want to lose each week. The app then calculates how many calories you should be eating a day in order to achieve your goal.

After I added all my details and said I wanted to lose 2lbs a week it advised me I needed to eat 1200 kcl a day. I wasn’t sure if this would be hard or easy for me but it sounded like a better idea than the 5/2 diet. So 3 weeks ago I started this. It kills me but I force my self to only weigh once a week.

Week 1…

I found it OK
. I was getting used to what foods I could eat and not have a lot of calories. I have to admit I was weighing everything and I was so strict with my self. I was so happy by the end of the week to of not felt hungry once, to have enjoyed all my normal foods and most of all I lost 3lbs. I was over the moon and could not believe it. I tend to not eat as much during the day and save my calories for our dinner at night.

Most days I will have porridge for breakfast with milk and a bit of strawberry jam. Dinner I will have tuna and cucumber in a weight waters pitter warmed. Or I will have cucumber, celery and carrot sticks with a nice yoghurt and mint low-fat dip. I will also have an apple or pear and grapes during the day. I will then normally have around 600-700 calories left for my dinner. The dinners we have a way under this. So a lot of the time I have found my self eating less than 1200 Calories a day.

Week 2…

This week I was very strict again but we a bit deflated as I knew we were going to Leeds for my Birthday and I knew there would be a lot of drink involved and a lot of food. I decided that as it was my birthday I would just have fun and not be strict on my self. In Leeds we went to the cricket on the Saturday and I had 4 pint of beer, we then had a bottle of wine with our Italian meal at Zizzi. This included a massive pizza tomato and pesto bread for starters followed by Penne De La Cassa, this is a pasta dish with a creamy mushroom sauce with loads of oil. We then went out for the night to a sport lounge to watch the Carl Froch fight and sunk a lot of alcohol. When we got home on the Sunday we ordered a Pizza after going to a christening and having a massive sunday lunch with the christening party. I knew this was going to be a bda week all because of my weekend. I weighed myself on the Monday and sure enough I had put weight on. So be it only 1lbs but still I put weight back on.

Week 3…

Well today is the end of week 3. I have been so strict again on myself as I wanted to lose weight this week. I have been weighing everything and being really good. Sure enough it has paid off. I have lost another 3lbs. So in total so far i have lost 6lbs in 3 weeks and I am so happy. I can tell in my face I am losing weight and it is making me so happy.
