Drumond Park: BBQ Party Review and Giveaway!

IMG_7530

It may still be the winter months but in our house we have been having a BBQ. Yes, you read that right a BBQ. We have been cooking fish, tomatoes, mushrooms, sausages, chicken drumsticks, broccoli, peppers and sweetcorn.

All may not be as it seems though as it wasn’t a real BBQ we had, we have been playing BBQ Party from Drumond Park. We are massive fans of the Drumond Park games and have been lucky enough to play and review quite a few, however this has to be our favourite one of them all.

BBQ is a fun and exciting game for the little ones, Put on and take off food from the BBQ and make sure you don’t put the grill up!

What’s in the box…

Playing the game…

Place all the cards face down including the one joker card. Lay all of the food out on the floor and set the BBQ so he is ready.

The youngest or most hungry player goes first. You have a pick up a card, if the card has a sweetcorn on it then that player puts the sweetcorn on the BBQ being careful not to make him pop up and throw the food off. The card is then placed back on the floor and mixed up. The next player then has their go and so on.

If a player picks up a card and that food is on the BBQ the player keeps their card and carefully takes the specified food off the BBQ. If the player manages to take the food off without popping the grill up, the player keeps that card and piece of food. If the player pops up the grill whilst taking the food off, all food is placed back on the floor including the piece the player was taking off.

If the joker is picked up you can take any piece of food off the BBQ OR put any piece on the BBQ.

TO WIN…

The winner is the first player to get 3 or 4 pieces of food off the BBQ. When Little Man and I have been playing on our own we play for 7 pieces of food. This just makes the game last a bit longer.

Overall we would recommend this game, it’s fun and easy for the younger ones to play.

Here is a little video of us playing the game

You can find a list of stockist here.
