Our moving home disaster story

When we moved into our new house we knew it was important to put our gas boiler on a contract in order to have it checked yearly and to be insured against¬†breakdown. The worst thing is your boiler breaking down on a Saturday afternoon in the winter and no insurance for a call out. We called one company to insure the boiler and their policy was to come out and check the boiler first to make sure it wasn’t on its last legs. Anyway after coming out they actually advised us they wouldn’t take the boiler on and condemned it.… View Post

Moving home check list

We have now been in our new home for just over a year, yet it only seems like yesterday we moved. I remember just like it was yesterday the stresses of moving home and it really was a stressful time. There is so much to remember, so many forms to sign, so many things to read and check and just make sure everything is in hand and correct. It can become all too much if you are trying to juggle moving home, looking after your family and holding down a job al at the same time. I have put together… View Post

Where have I been?

Its been a while since I last wrote a personal post about our little family and I thought it was about time I updated you all on what’s been going on. We had the move in October last year, we have been in our new house a year on the 16th October 2018. After we moved home there were a lot of problems which have taken a while and lots of time to resolve, we are finally getting there with those now though. We have had a lot of decorating to do as the whole of upstairs was pink and… View Post

We finally have a new home

We have finally move home…. YAY, finally! After selling our house back in April and lots and lots of issues along the way we have finally moved into our new home. Its been a dream for so long and it was a dream I wasn’t sure would come true but finally it has. We moved home on Thursday 12th October 2017 and what a day it was. The kids were at school and nursery which was great because we could just get on with everything and didn’t have to worry about the kids and what they were doing. I did… View Post

We finally exchanged

YAY, so as you can see by the title of the post we finally exchanged contracts. We sold our house on the 6th April 2017 and on Thursday 28th September. After so many hiccups along the way and getting to the point where I actually didn’t see the move happening we are finally here. I am finally packing up our life into cardboard boxes to move it all to what will be our new home. We are all so excited with a hint of anxiety thrown into the mix. It’s a new place and we have no friends close by,… View Post

Moving home is getting closer!

As a lot of you will be aware by now we are moving home in September. The whole process has been pretty stressful so far and I think I’ve heard somewhere that moving home is one of the most stressful times of your life. We sold our house back at the start of April and since then we have had the chain fall apart, people pulling out, people offering on different houses and changing the chain and it’s just been really hard work. The average time for moving home from start to finish is 3 months and so far we… View Post

Update on moving home…

If you are not aware we are in the process of moving home, you can read part one here. I just thought I would do an update to document where we are currently at. Things have not been plain sailing so far so we are hoping things will be a bit better from now on. So our chain finally completed about 8 weeks after we sold our house. The top of our chain is a really old lady who just didn’t seem to understand that so many people under her were waiting on her to get a property. It all… View Post

We are moving home

We are at the start of our moving journey and I have decided to document it on the blog and on my Youtube channel. It is a very bitter sweet move, we really don’t want to move BUT we really need extra space. The house we are currently in is a 3 bedroom detached house so although it is a decent size we need more space. Anyone with kids will understand that kids toys just take over the whole place. This is our lovely home currently… We are moving out of our 3 bed detached house into a 4 bed… View Post

To move or not to move

We are currently trying to decide if to move or not to move! We really need a bigger home and are trying to decide if to move or to stay where we are and extend. The problem we have is extending will cost us a lot of money but probably wont add that much value. We could then move and spend the extra on moving to a new area, with new neighbours and a new start. At the moment we¬†love the area we live in, we have the most fantastic neighbours all around us and it is really nice and… View Post
