Today I have the day off work. The other half is at work, little man is at nursery. So what am I going to do? Well today is the day I am putting up our Christmas tree. We’re a bit late this year, but we have been so busy and not had chance to do it. When little man gets home from nursery and the other half gets home, the house will look like a grotto. Will post a picture later after I have put all our decorations out and the tree up.
I don’t often see my grandma, something I really should do more. Four weeks ago my dad brought her over to our house to see us and little man. She bought little man some clothes which were lovely, and she bought me some flowers. Now these flowers were only cheap flowers from Sainsburys. Not usually the ones I would buy. Personally I would usually buy some more expensive ones, thinking they are better quality and look nicer. This morning I was sitting at the table having breakfast and I looked at the flowers. I thought they look as good as… View Post
Last week I got sent these answer buzzers from learning Resources. My first thought was they looked great. Nice bright colours, blue, green, orange and purple. The sounds the buzzers make are… Doorbell, boxing bell, boing and honking horn. The purpose of these buzzers is you can ask questions and your child can buzz in with the answer buzzers, its like they are on their own game show. I did the review with my niece and nephew who are 6 and 9. I told them we were going to do some learning with a twist. The minute I said it… View Post
What seems like forever ago now, me and my partner bought our meat from the supermarket. It was OK, but the chicken was always full of water and would shrink when we cooked it. The mince and bacon were OK or so we thought. This was until we decided to start getting our meat from Stilton Butchers located in Peterborough. This is not a butchers where you can walk into. The way it works is you order on-line and then your meat gets delivered, or you can go and collect it. So we decided to order some chicken, mince and… View Post
Today we have been to a Winter Wonderland at little mans nursery. We were so busy having a good time, I totally forgot to take any pictures. Little man saw Santa, and got a present. As all kids do he wanted to open it straight away. In different rooms there was different activities. So there was a party room, where we played pass the parcel. There was a cake decorating room, messy play room and just a normal play and finally there was a sweet room. Made us feel very christmassy. Little man was running about all over the place,… View Post
I would like to say a really big thank you to a friend of mine. You know who you are 🙂 He has helped me a lot with my blog, setting up my .com and .co.uk URL, helped me to add a new menu on my blog and shown me how to add pictures to my front page of my posts. I know some of you out there may think it’s really easy. I have never before written a blog, so when I started this one I was very proud of my self for setting it all up on my… View Post
What do you all think of when you here these words. Holidays are coming, Holidays are coming…. To me this means one thing. The Coca Cola Christmas lorry. I love this advert, and for me it means Christmas is here once I’ve seen it. Well I can now do one better than saying that I’ve seen the advert. I have seen the lorry as it was in town yesterday. It was in Peterborough as it tours around the country. We took little man to see the pretty lights in town, and to see the Christmas lorry. He absolutely… View Post
I was so excited to be chosen to review Spin Mania by Drumond Park. Our game arrived this week and I couldn’t wait to get it out of the box and have a go. I’m like a big kid myself and love a good game. I have two young cousins (6 and 9 years old) and we decided to get them round for dinner and to have a play with the new game. I told them I had to review a game, the whole time from when they got here to when we played the game they didn’t stop going… View Post
Last night my partner and I went to see Rhod Gilbert. For those of you who do not know who he is, he is a comedian. We went to see him at the Cresset in Peterborough. My partner and I have never laughed so much. He was so funny. We had a great night out together. My mum was kind enough to look after little man for us. It is really good to still be able to get out as a couple and still enjoy time together alone.
So I posted on here the other day to tell you that little man had to have a blood test. Today I got the results back and he is anemic. His level was 10.2, I was told it should be 11.3. He has been given iron supplement medicine. I am really dreading the side effects of this as it can cause constipation. I am slightly worried about this. I know it isn’t serious but I don’t really know a lot about this. Can anyone relate to this at all, or has anyone been through the same with their toddler or… View Post
