My first Villa holiday was in 2005 when we went to Florida. We have a massive villa, with its own private pool in a small gated community. To say it was amazing was an understatement! My second Villa holiday was our second time to Florida and again it had its own private pool and was absolutely amazing. Ever since these 2 villa holidays I have always wanted to go and do more holidays like this.
Villas really appeal to me especially ones that have their own private pools, they are just fantastic if you have children. I find that you can go out during the day come home and relax by the pool which ISNT full of 100s of other holiday makers. You can actually have a swim and relax in the pool because there is plenty of space to move about, unlike the packed hotel pools in the hight of summer. Some people have said that why a villa holiday, you have to cook and clean yourself. You can actually go out and eat though, villa holiday tend to be cheaper than all inclusive hotels so you can use the extra money saved to eat out. I just find the whole villa atmosphere a lot more relaxing and slower paced than a hotel.
So here are my top 3 destinations that I would love to visit and stay in a villa at…
Number 1… Cyprus
We visited Cyprus last year and love it. The weather was amazing, the country was so beautiful and the people were so friendly. Last year was the first time we had visited Cyprus and it is defiantly somewhere that we would all love to return to. We went to paphos which was lovely and I think this is where we would go back to. If you are looking for more of a party holiday you could visit Ayia napa, not sure I could keep up with the party holiday now though. There is also Larnca, Limassol, Protaras and Famagust South.
Number 2… Thailand
We have spoken a lot about visiting Thailand, but as the children are so young at the moment we have decided to wait until they are slightly older. This is in our top 3 though because it is somewhere we really want to visit and will do in the future. There are 6 main parts of Thailand you can visit Phuket, krabi, Koh Samui, Pattaya, Bangkok and Hua Hia. Depending on what it is you are wanting to get from you holiday would depend which of these places you wold visit. From the powder white sands of Phuket to the busy bustling capital bangkok. You can hire a villa in any of these destinations which is perfect for coming and going as you please. How amazing does this villa with its own private pool look?
Although we have visited Florida twice now we have not been with the children (we didn’t leave them behind it was before they were born)
Florida is just the place every kid wants to go to, it is just the heart of everything magical. Every kids dream and we will 100% be taking the boys.
As I mentioned above the only way to do Florida is in a villa there is no way I would even consider a hotel. We would hire a car and get out and about and visit as many places as we could in the time we would be there. The first time we visited Florida it was just 2 weeks packed solid and we used water parks days as our rest days which was crazy. Felt like we were non stop the whole time but when there is so much to see we felt it was a waste to just do nothing for a day.
The villas are so big and beautiful and most have their own private pool with the net over to stop the crocs getting in.
So these are our top 3 villa holiday destinations, have you ever been on a villa holiday and what did you think? Let me know if this is something you have done or are thinking about.
