My Top Dreamy Destinations and Giveaway

As most of you will know I am a Mum of 2 boys aged 6 and 3. I had the boys quite young at the age of 24 and 27 which means Doug and I dream of all the lovely romantic holidays we can take once the kids are grown up. We will still be young enough to enjoy ourselves and the kids will be grown up enough to stay at home, like kids don’t really want to go away with their parents at the age of 18 do they?

So I thought I would share with you our top 5 destinations that Doug and I really want to visit.

The Maldives looks absolutely beautiful and its just one of the most amazing places in the world, this place is all about the relaxation, powdery white beaches and crystal clear seas. I also think this is one of those places where you can’t hold back and you need to go the whole hog as in having a sea villa which is just the best of the best isn’t it? The snorkelling would just be incredible in the clear seas and something we would defiantly want to do. This place looks so extravagant and indulgent and out of this world. Looking at the prices they can vary hugely depending on what island you book and what type of property you stay in.

Jamaica is a destination I have always wanted to visit for a very long time. Doug isn’t as keen as me but I can always work on him. I can just imagine myself riding a horse along the beach as the sunset and breeze blowing my hair… sounds like something from a movie. this has always been my vision of something I want to do in Jamaica. This isn’t the only thing you can do though, with the beautiful beaches and green mountains there is something to suit everyone. I would love to raft down the Rio grande, I have been rafting before but this would just top any kind of rafting you can do in the UK.

Thailand is another destination which has found itself in our top 5. The culture is just something which you have to experience once in your life time. I don’t actually have any friends who have visited Thailand so it would be fantastic to go out there and discover everything new for ourselves.

Borneo is some where that we both really want to visit. The 3rd largest island in the world has so much to offer. Lazing on the beaches or exploring the beautiful rainforest which is the oldest in the world just sounds exquisite, indulgent and ever so dreamy. If it is something a bit more relaxing you want to do though you can always visit the hot springs which just look amazing. Borneo is the only place in the world where you are able to see the Orangutang in the wild forests. There is just so much to see and do that it really excites me to visit this gem of a place.

Cuba has to be our number one destination. It is actually somewhere we are considering going to in a few years with the kids, just when they are a little bit older. Cuba is the largest island in the Caribbean. More specifically its actually Havana that we would specifically like to visit. I would love to do the Havana city tour in a bright pink cadilac, not so sure what Doug thinks to the pink but I am sure he would love it…The whole city is just full of 1950s American cars which would just feeling like going back in time. I have been told that it is like being on a movie set. Oh and I must mention the rum, oh drinking rum all day would just do it for me ha ha! have you ever visited Cuba and what did you think of it?

we holidayed in Cuba june this year , we stayed in coco caos
we loved the weather people and beaches , the beach was absolutely stunning
only thing i didnt like was how far away from everything we was ,
there was no where to walk to , we did hire an old american car one day
and got out and about , the beach with the flamingos was stunning , from a distance it looked
like the sea was pink , beautiful , the town we visited was very colorful
but very run down and poor , but the people we met and spoke to could not have been friendlier and there
was nothing they wouldn’t do for you
