Shark Bite review from Drumond Park

Knowing something is going to happen but not knowing when makes me really tense and this is exactly what happens when playing Shark Bite. I find the anticipation of waiting bring so much excitement to the game.

Aim of the game…
To collect the fish before the shark bites and the winner is the player with the most fish.

This game is aimed at people age 4 + and is for 2-4 players.

Whats in the box…

  • 1 Shark
  • 12 Pieces of Shark food (the fish)
  • 1 fishing rod
  • 1 dice
  • 1 sticker sheet

This is a really simple and easy game to set up and play. Push all the fish in the holes on the Sharks mouth then roll the dice in order to find out how many fish you need to rescue. Use the fishing rod to reduce the fish from the jaws of the shark before he bites and gobbles them all up.

The fish come in yellow, red and green lower your rod in the sharks mouth, hook the rod onto the fish and pull upwards to save those little fishes from the sharks bite.

The game was a real hit with the kids, they loved the fact the shark could bite at any time. What was a massive hit for me is the fact you don’t need any batteries for this game. To see that is just like heaven to me as batteries and games are the bain of my life. I am sure you will all understand that.. so no batteries is just amazing.

I am slightly confused as to why there is only one fishing rod when this is a 4 player game, you can easily pass the rod around and its not problem really, however a rod for each player would have been better. Always good incase you lose one as well.
