On a Monday Little Man has swimming straight after school. When we get him he is starving so I always like to make sure dinner is either ready from the slow cooker OR will only take me a matter of minutes to cook. A favourite for both of the boys is pasta with frozen veggies.
- Napolina pasta sauce
- frozen veg
- chicken (optional)
I always cook the pasta dish during the day, so when we get home it takes 5 minutes to warm up and serve.
Cook the pasta as soft as you wish. Add the pasta sauce, grated cheese and frozen veg. Leave on the hob for a further 5 minutes. Make sure you keep on stirring the pasta so it doesn’t burn to the bottom. Once the frozen veg is cooked through take off the heat and leave till later to warm up.
Serve with a side of garlic bread.
You don’t have to cook this during the day, you can just cook at the time you wish to eat it. I just do it in the day to save time after swimming. Tastes lovely!
