Parragon book buddies review: Collection of Nursery Rhymes

When Little Man was a baby we used to sing so many nursery rhymes together. He used to love them and we had a fantastic little book that we would sit and look through together. Since Bubs has been born I have been unable to find the book. When I found out that I was going to get the chance to review a collection of nursery rhymes book from Parragon I was over the moon. Bubs, Little Man and I sing the usual well known rhymes together but sometimes its hard to remember them all.

This lovely collection of over 100 nursery rhymes will keep us busy singing all day.Β The first thing I noticed about this book was the outstanding quality, it feels and looks so expensive with the front and back cover being padded and A4 in size. All of the illustrations inside are made to look like material cut out and stitched down onto the white background of the page.

Inside the book the rhymes are all categorised under different heading such as… Counting Rhymes, Animal Rhymes, Bedtime Rhymes and Action Rhymes. Each rhyme is also listed with a page number so you can quickly find your favourite.

The words are of a good size for children who are learning to read, it is easy for the child to follow the words. The illustrations are beautiful and really thought out, any child will love this book.

I feel that this book is so luxurious it would make a fantastic christening gift, baby shower present, new baby gift, birthday present and any present buying occasions you can think of. I love this book so much and reading some of the rhymes really takes me back to my childhood and now I am reading these to my children. Nursery rhymes should definitely be carried on through the generations and this book will last for many years to come.

Cool would love this, I forget all the nursery rhymes then make up my own versions which the husband gives out to me about – we regularly fight about misplaced nursery rhyme words LOL

I feel in love with that Big Ben illustration! Super cute!
I wish we had creative books like those in Portugal, they tend to be pretty basic around here! If we want something different we always have to look online!

We have a few nursery rhyme books and even a cd in the car.. Munch still loves them at age 4. Some of the really old ones are a bit crazy if I do say!
