Regular readers of my blog will know we love Orchard Toys, once again they have not disappointed. We have been sent the Shopping List game to review and I have to say its a fab game. The 3 of us played it (bus is to small) and I have to say it all got very loud and competitive.
This is actually a new version of the old Shopping List game and has a few different things included. Shopping list the best-selling game of all time from Orchard Toys.
The game is for children aged 3-7 years old, however older children can play.
The game is fantastic for …
- Matching and memory skills
- Personal and social skills
- Encourages observational skills
The aim of the game is to be the first player to fill their trolley with the items on their chosen shopping list. Each player chooses a trolley and a shopping list. You then turn over all cards. Each player then takes it in turns to flip over a card and see if the item they turn over is on their list. If the item is on their list then that player puts that card in their shopping trolley. If the item isn’t on their list then the card goes back into play.
The game is very easy to play and I love the fact its such a fun game. I actually asked Little man if he wanted to play the game with me. He jumped at the chance and said ‘Mummy you love this game’
I would recommend this game to anyone, I would also recommend Orchard Toys to anyone with children. The quality is amazing and the games are fantastic. Each game always has some sort of learning aspect, however the child never knows this. They are playing and learning at the same time but do not realise.
The game retails for £7.50 from the Orchard Toys website. I say this is a fantastic price, the products are fantastic quality and will last for years.
