Orchard Toys, Where do I live?

Once again we bring you a fantastic review from Orchard Toys, Where do I live? Orchard Toys is still a firm favourite in our household. Little man loves going through the brochure each time we have a new game and ticking off which ones we have.

This time we bring you … Where do I live? A fantastic quality board game for ages 3-6 years and 2-4 players.

Orchard Toys design all of their games with fun and eduction both in mind. All games are fun to play and hidden behind the fun is the educational value of each game. Little Man doesn’t realise he is learning whilst having fun. This game is designed to…

  • link with early learning goals
  • promote knowledge and understanding of the world
  • develop personal and social skills
  • encourage observation

Whats in the box…

  • 4 playing boards
  • 28 playing cards

Aim of the game:
To be the first player to fill your board

Playing the game…
Each player chooses a board to play with. Make sure all of the cards are face down ready to play with. Each player then takes it in turns to turn over a card, if you pick a card which matches a picture on your board then you place the card on your board. If you pick a card that isn’t on your board then you place the card back down and mix up. Once you have matched all of the animal pictures you then need to find your explorer card.

The winner is the person to fill their board first.

Little Man loves this game, we have had the game just over a week and have played it every day. This is a great game for learning about regions that different animals come from nd I love that the back of the board have facts on them about each region. I mean did you know… some deserts can get less than 1cm of rainfall a year? Did you also know that some vines in the rainforest can reach 200m? thats as long as 2 football pitches. You get the picture, fantastic for children to learn a few amazing facts.

This fantastic game can be bought from Orchard Toys for £9.50. As I always say this is amazing value for money. The games will last and can be played with for many years. I will 100% be putting these away for when Bubs is ready to play with them.

We have made a video of us playing the game here.

We like these kind of games! They are also reasonably priced to make ideal birthday presents for kids parties. x

My twins still can’t really get their heads around board games!! They’ve just turned three and I notice that this says it’s suitable for 3-6 years! Hopefully they’ll start to understand them soon 🙂
