Little update on Little Man and School

As many of you know Little Man started school back in September 2015. The first 4 years of his life have flown by and I just couldn’t get my head around the fact he was starting school. We are now almost at the summer holiday’s! How the hell did that happen?

I am so proud of how Little Man is coming on at school. I have noticed such a massive improvement in almost every aspect of his life. His reading has come on leaps and bounds, his social skills have massively improved. Rather than my shy little boy who wouldn’t say boo to a goose, he will now stand up for himself and his friends. His writing has improved so much and I am amazed at how much he has learnt in such a short space of time.

This is when he had the class teddy to bring home for the weekend.

I feel that we made the right school choice for Little Man now. I wasn’t too sure to start with however seeing how fantastic he has been doing makes me realise it was the right choice.

He has made some lovely friendships and I love how him and his friends play so nicely together. He always comes home with one story or another about what his friends and him have been doing.

We now have a really cool App called Class Dojo. Little Man’s teacher can update this with how he has been getting on at school. He also updates it with pictures of the class and what they have been doing throughout the day.

He has had his first school trip to Hunstanton Sea Life centre. I went and waved him off on the bus feeling all emotional that this is another first. He never went on trips with nursery and so this was the first trip without us. He got back and told me all about his fantastic day. I was worried all day and really didn’t need to, he loved it.

Walking to school, backpack on for his first school trip.

Since starting school back in September it has been a rollercoaster of emotions and firsts. Its all been worth it though and he is so happy.
