The Future for Blogging Mummy?

I started Blogging 5 years ago and it has been the best hobby I have ever started. Usually I start something and 5 minutes later I am bored of it or just can’t be bothered any more. I think most of my family and myself included are shocked I have been blogging for so long. Truth be told I love it, I’ve met so many lovely friends and had so many opportunities that I wouldn’t have done if I hadn’t taken up this great hobby.

As time has gone on I have been asked to do Youtube Videos I have slowly been getting into Youtube more and more. To start with I wasn’t too sure, blogging is easy no one can see me or hear me. Where as Vlogging people get to see your whole life, our house, me, and my awful accent that I hate, although I’ve had a lot of comments from the States about how nice it is.

I have been thinking about things recently and have decided to start a schedule with my Youtube channel. New uploads every Wednesday and Sunday at 6pm, these can vary from Hack videos, speed cleaning, family day in the life videos and challenges. Although at the moment I am still trying to work out if Little Man should have his own channel for challenges or if we should keep it all as one channel. I have set him up a second channel but as of yet it is not known about nor does it have anything uploaded on it. Are you a Youtuber with 2 separate channels, one for you and one for your children to do challenges on? If you are please give me the pros and cons.

So I am going to continue on the blog as normal and just add Youtube into the mix. If you would like to check out my Youtube Channel we would love any extra subscribers. I am still trying to get to grips with the beautiful backgrounds people use when filming and not everything is perfect but we will get there, it all takes time.

Your blog is amazing and Congrats on 5 years. Do not stretch yourself with youtube, start slowing and work at it, I too hate my accent and it seems to come across so much more on video. But you will get the hang of it.
I have seen some lovely children youtubers out there that review and do other challenges; also making things like slime etc. See what your Little Man is keen to do as most of the children I have seen are girls; he may have a huge market and followers.
