First day at Nursery

Bubs started nursery on the 1/10/2015, wow what a month it has been. Little Man starting school and swimming lessons and Bubs turning 1 and starting Nursery. Think I need a large glass of wine to take in all whats happened this month.

Bubs had a few visits to nursery in the month leading up to his start date and to say they did go well is a bit of an understatement. The first time I left him he wasn’t to bad, had a few tears but nothing much. The 2nd visit was a disaster and he cried for the whole hour. When I went to collect him he could hardly catch his breath. On his last visit I said maybe 2 hours would be better to give him more time to settle. I walked in to find him playing in the sand and smiling. Still with his dummy and red blanket but thats OK, they comfort him.

I was very nervous about hm going to nursery, worrying about everything. I felt a bit guilty sending him when I wasn’t back at work. I do however know this is for the best, when I start back to work in January I know he will be fully settled and Β wont have to worry about him.

I called the nursery a couple of times during the day and he was absolutely fine. He had a few tears but nothing much and they said he did really well. He did eat some of his food and snacks but not a lot. He will soon get used to it though. I was so happy to see him playing so nicely when I walked in to pick him up, he looked like he was really enjoying himself. I am once again dreading taking him this week, however I know he will settle and have a good time once he gets over me leaving.

WOW, that nursery looks so lovely and it’s great to hear that Bubs is doing well. My littlest started preschool one morning a day last month and i wasn’t sure how he was going to get on as he’s only 2 and spends all his time with me but actually, these kids are made of strong stuff. He ran straight in without a care in the world and is thriving by all accounts. xxx

That nursery looks like so welcoming and like so much fun! Great idea to get settled into the nursery now that you’re not as stressed as you would be in Jan. x

I’m so glad it all went well for both you & your little man! Soon you’ll be wondering how you ever got anything done without the help of nursery time.

The last thing I need to be stressing at work knowing he’s upset, so although I hate sending him i know its worth tin the long run. Would rather him be nice and settled when I’m back at work. x
