Eating with Brewers Fayre

Most people will know the name Brewers Fayre. As a family we love heading off The Hampton Brewers Fayre anytime, any day of the week. Brewers Fayre cater for everyone which is why we love it so much and they have a special children’s menu which Little Man loves.

The new Day-time Value Menu consists of…

  • 2 starters for £2.50
  • 2 mains for £10.99
  • 2 desserts for £2.50

I am sure you would agree this is fantastic value, 2 people can eat for £15.99 which when you’re having 3 courses you can’t go wrong on price. You don’t have the choice of the full menu however Brewers Fayre have tried to cater for every palette in starters, mains and dessert. They also do the special each night and on Saturday when we went it was chicken night. The specials night is basically an all you can eat buffet style night. Chicken night consisted of chicken curry, chicken drumsticks, Chicken nuggets etc. Each night is a different specials night.

We didn’t actually eat of the value menu because we visited on a Saturday and the Value menu is only available between Mon-Fri 12-1830. We still had 3 courses for Doug and Myself and Little Man and Bubs had 2 courses off the children’s menu. Our total came to £46.40 with our drinks which I also think is a really great price.

For Starters we had… Prawn cocktail and half-dozen hot wings. The prawn cocktail looked so nice I forgot to take a picture before I started to eat.

For mains we had… Chicken and Ham pie and Chicken Balti. The kids had Poppin chicken and sausage and mash from the kids menu.

For dessert we had… Oreo cookie pie and ultimate chocolate fudge cake. The kids had Cadbury’s indulgent sundae and chocolate brownie from the kids menu.

The service was fantastic and our waiter couldn’t have been any more helpful. He bought out the kids meals with our starters as we had asked. He asked us if we were ready for our mains or if we would rather wait for a while, and he did the same with dessert. The waiter made sure the kids were kept entertained and bought pencils and a Dennis the Menace activity booklet over.

After we had finished our dinner we headed into the new Dennis the Menace soft play area the we recently reviewed here. This is a massive bonus we used it as a little bribe, if Little Man eat all of his dinner we would go into the soft play area.

Overall I would recommend The Hampton Brewers Fayre in Peterborough, the service was fab, the food was lovely and I think overall the value menu and the normal menu are price really reasonably.

Looks delicious, especially that oreo desert! Pity there isn’t one near me 🙁 That’s a good idea about bringing the kids mains right away – gives them time to finish and not feel left out while you enjoy starters.

Wow, what great value! The food looks lovely & I love how attentive the waiter was with the kids. A coloring page goes a long way. So does a little bribe – that play center looks fab! x
