Bubs at 16 Months

I have written an update for a little while as there wasn’t too much to update on. So now here were are in 2016 with our 16 month old Bubs. Growing up too fast and becoming a little boy rather than a baby.

So whats new??

Bubs has had some steps, whoooo I am so excited! He started walking with his push along a few months ago, however he just would not walk on his own. He took his first step on his own on New Years Day. I screamed and I think I scared him and he sat down. Later on that day he took 5-6 steps and I did managed to get a video, however it was dark and it is hard to see. Now he can take some steps he loves to stand himself up unaided and walk. He then looks at us and thinks it is funny and starts to laugh. We are all so proud of him.

  • He is in 5+ nappies
  • Wears 12-18 month colothing
  • Loves to play with his brother
  • Says Mama, Dada, Teddy, Ducke
  • Understands a lot of what I am saying to him
  • Eats anything I give him, would eat all day and cries if we eat and he isn’t (very annoying)
  • Can go up and down the stairs on his own (I stand behind him)

He really has a lovely little personality now and it is really developing. He is so funny with some of the things he does. When he sees me getting a nappy out of the bag, he crawls of so fast and keeps looking round laughing at me. He loves to touch Little Mans hair and then pretend it wasn’t him, Little Man will look round at him ad Bubs will laugh his head off.

He is currently doing really well with his thyroid medicine. We had a blood test before Christmas and it was fine. We have a consultant appointment next week, Once we have had this I shall write a full post on his Congenital Hypoythroidism update.

Aww he sounds like he is doing really well! Those first steps are so wonderful to watch! My second is turning 5 months this week and it’s just going so fast!

Awww happy 16 months! The first steps are always so magical! My little girl would also eat all day everyday, she eats pretty much anything you put in front of her, it’s so lovely, she’s definitely got an appetite like her mama 🙂 x

Gorgeous. How exciting that he’s starting to walk, it’s such a fun age when they start to talk and really change from a baby to a little boy x

Aww lovely. My little one is 17 months it’s so lovely when they start to talk and you can understand what they are staying. Rosalie’s favourite word is ‘Peppa’. She says it all the time whilst trying to give you the remote control xx

It sounds like he is doing really well. Those first steps are always so exciting. My Toddler walked for the first time on Christmas Day (2014). It made our year!

I love these milestones – you think you will just always remember them but they move onto the next ones so quickly. He sounds like he is doing brilliantly.

Awww I love reading these and reminiscing about my little one when she was this age! She’s only 6 months older, but it’s amazing how much they change and how quickly. It’s good you’re recording this so you can look back at it. xx

Mine is 16 months too and sounds like they’re at a really similar stage with most things. Teddy is not great at playing with his older brother though and just tries to bite him all of the time. xx
