If you are still looking for somewhere to go away this summer, you have children and don’t want a long flight then Spain is the perfect location for you. From the UK it is only a few of hours on a plane to mainland Spain and the weather is perfect. There are also the Spanish Islands Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Caneria, Menorca, Majorca etc. If you are still looking for the perfect get away here are a few ideas to help you make the perfect decision.
SIAM PARK COSTA ADEJE TENERIFE – Siam Park is a water park located on the Costa Adeje. It is referred to as the best water park in the world and whilst I haven’t personally been here myself it does look amazing. Opened in 2008 it is one of the largest in Europe. Water parks are my favourite thing to do on a holiday. You can relax, have the thrill from the water slides or have fun watching the kids enjoying themselves. This place is perfect for families or couple just wanting to relax.
KATMANDU MALLORCA – If you are looking to visit Mallorca then Katmandu Park is pretty amazing. Voted Trip Advisors best Amusement park and number 2 in Spain it is going to be a fun filled day out for the whole family. If you are looking for a splash park, 4d Adventures, thrill rides or a
relax fun day then you are going to be in the right place.
BENAGIL CAVES ALGARVE – If you are looking to go to the Algarve then a tour inside the Benagil Caves is a must. These are the most famous caves in Europe and you can jump on a small boat to go exploring the beautiful sights they can offer you. DO NOT forget to take your camera along as there will be so many amazing photo opportunities, I know I would be in my element here now as photography is a newly found passion of mine. This is actually a place which is on my list to visit whilst we have young children though I think it is off the radar for a bit. I think this is more adults only or older children my boys would be bored and are too young to appreciate the beauty of this place.
CAMP NOU BARCELONA – Any football fans out there? If you are a football fan or have football mad children Camp Nou is a must see.
IBIZA – Whilst you may think Ibiza is the party central and you will not fit in if it isn’t clubbing you want to do, then you are wrong. Ibiza has so much to offer couples, parties and families. We went a few years back now and had a great time with Little man and my pregnant self. You can do Jeep safaris, boat trips and if you are brave enough plenty of water sports. You really can make it the holiday you want. I would highly recommend a sunset boat tour. We did this whilst we were in Ibiza and it was just amazing, there are also eating ares you can go to watch the sunset and I would highly recommend on or the other.
MAINLAND SPAIN – Mainland Spain is a great little flight from the UK for anyone nervous of flying with young children, nervous flyers or people who just want a very short flight but to have beautiful weather. There are so many lovely places you can look to visit. So if you are looking to get booked up why not check out which Spanish Holiday will suit you and your family best.
Valencia – Is a beautiful city which although has grown a lot still maintains its Spanish authenticity. there are some absolutely beautiful attractions to see in Valencia such as, Turia Gardens, La lonja, Museum of fine arts, Bioparc (zoo) Valencia institute of modern art and many more. If you are looking to visit Valencia it is more of a doing holiday rather than laying around the pool all day. This is simply because there are so many wonderful things to go out and see and you really don’t want to miss out on what beautiful Valenica has to offer. The Bioparc pictured below is the home to so many animals living in as natural habitat as possible in the 21st century. There are Hippos, Leopards, Lions, Rhinos and lots more.
I hope this has given you a few ideas of attractions in different Spanish destinations and hopefully it may help you decide on a lovely holiday. I feel holidays are so important for a family because it gives you that time together to relax and forget all the stresses of home life and work.
